UNDERPAID, UNDER-APPRECIATED, UNDERACHIEVING

From left to right: Miles, Daphne, Sophia, Raviva and Lou

Nothing is scarier for the varsity students then the question "What now?" Now that you've landed that degree, what are you going to do with your life? I've just finished all 12 episodes of MTV's young adult dramedy, Underemployed, which pretty much addresses that question.

It's about five best friends who are stuck in a rut trying to make it in big bad world while drowning in student loan debt and their failed expectations.

You'll love it because it's so relatable. You'll identify with the washed up dreams of twenty-something-year-old university graduates. They claim to be more than friends, but instead a family, and it shows. The script is definitely nothing to rave about the story shines through.

With that being said, Underemployed flops in its attempt to be risqué. I feel like the writers forgot they were commissioned by MTV; there are times when they try to channel their inner HBO and I'm just like "Stahhhp." Don't tune in expecting something racy. It's better than MTV's botched version of The Inbetweeners but it's definitely no How To Make It In America.

Overall rating: 2.5/5

Catch it on MTV every Sunday at 21h20 CAT
